HOPS

Hops are one of the essential ingredients in beer production. Their quality determines the flavor, aroma, bitterness, and foam stability of the beer. We prioritize time-tested hop varieties from around the world, whose quality and aroma, in our opinion, are unmatched.

MAGISTR beer blends the finest ancient Czech brewing traditions with modern Canadian technology to create this exceptional hop-infused beverage. Each variety is a unique creation, crafted by master brewers from different countries, including Canada, the Czech Republic, and Germany. The recipes and brewing techniques for MAGISTR beer date back to the Middle Ages, passed down through a select few and still kept secret to this day.

The Czech Republic boasts a rich and storied history of beer production, renowned worldwide. Since medieval migrations, it has remained a center of European brewing culture, where Czechs shared their knowledge with ancient peoples such as the Bavarians, Celts, and Irish. This influence is evident in several MAGISTR beer recipes, including varieties like Porter, Kelt, Weizen, and Ale.

Since 2012, MAGISTR beer has participated in numerous international exhibitions, earning top awards at prestigious tasting competitions, including one platinum medal, seven gold, and one silver. This success has won over the hearts of consumers in many countries, including Canada, the USA, Israel, China, Kazakhstan, and several European nations such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Greece, Hungary, Spain, the UK, Ukraine, and others.

We use only the finest, all-natural ingredients to produce MAGISTR beer. The raw materials for malt and hops are grown in ecologically clean regions of Canada, the USA, the UK, the Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, and beyond.

MALT

To give each variety of our beer its unique and unforgettable flavor, we use several types of malt, including Czech Pilsner Malt, Canadian Pale Malt, Bavarian, caramel, wheat, smoked malt, as well as oats and roasted barley.

YEAST

Our brewing yeast is the key to creating beer with a distinctive taste and aroma. We use only high-quality strains, ensuring stable fermentation and imparting characteristic notes to our beer, whether it be a classic lager or an aromatic ale.

THE LEGEND OF MAGISTR BEER

THE SECRET OF THE GREAT MASTERS

Frame 1321315723.png

The word "Magistr" originates from the Latin term meaning leader, mentor, and teacher—a title bestowed upon the chosen ones during the times of ancient Rome. This title was held by those close to Caesars and Emperors, individuals who possessed exceptional knowledge and authority. In the Middle Ages, the title of "Grand Master" (Czech: Velký MAGISTR or Velmistr) emerged, granted to the heads of knightly orders who wielded power and influence among Europe's elite. Grand Masters were not only the leaders of these orders but also the guardians of secrets and unique knowledge passed down through generations.

As their influence grew, the Church began to view these orders as a threat, leading to their persecution and efforts to eradicate them. The Grand Masters were forced to go underground, and their activities became shrouded in mystery. No one knew who they were or what they were up to. Their identities and the secrets of their orders were protected with extraordinary vigilance.

One of the deepest secrets of the Grand Masters was their alchemical pursuits. Legend has it that in the Kingdom of Bohemia (modern-day Czech Republic), within the laboratory of a secret order, a Grand Master and his apprentices were working on creating the “elixir of youth”—a mythical potion believed to grant eternal life. However, instead of the elixir, they discovered something else: a golden, hop-infused drink with a thick white foam and an extraordinary taste. It was none other than the first recipe for beer, astonishing everyone with its magical flavor and refreshing qualities.

This recipe became one of the order's most closely guarded secrets, passed down only to the chosen few. For centuries, it was preserved as a magical artifact. Today, after hundreds of years, you can experience this legend for yourself by tasting the beer brewed from this ancient Czech recipe, proudly bearing the name of its creator—MAGISTR.
